We currently have seven piano teachers at the Renaissance School of Music, with schedules covering six days of the week. Our teachers range in specialty, from classical training, to jazz and popular styles, to songwriting and Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation. |

Charlie PritchardCharlie has been teaching both piano and theory at Renaissance since 2004. He graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2003, specializing in education. Charlie has taught privately for thirty years and is a Church organist in Elginburg, Ontario. |

Rebecca Van DrunenRebecca Van Drunen is a Queen's University student (Bachelor of Music program) who grew up in Athens, Ontario. She has been playing the piano for fourteen years, and was involved in a wide range of activities throughout high school including composition, accompanying and playing in the school band. Her philosophy of teaching is to ensure that her students learn to enjoy all styles of music from classical to popular music. Rebecca has also been a church organist for ten years. |

Grace EhmanGrace grew up in South Porcupine, Ontario just outside of Timmins. She began taking piano lessons at the age of five from her mother who has run her own piano studio for twenty years. She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Music program at Queen's University, concentrating on Music Education. Studying under Dr. Cynthia Tormann, Grace is currently studying Grade 10 and ARCT level pieces. She also studied under Valery Lloyd-Watts for two years. She has completed her Grade 3 Harmony & History and is hoping to complete her Grade 4 History next summer. In addition to her piano studies, Grace is currently part of the Queen's Choral Ensemble. She has enjoyed working with all her students and is grateful for this teaching opportunity and experience as it furthers her goal of becoming an elementary school music teacher. |

Stephanie BondStephanie is currently in her fourth year of study in the Bachelor of Music program at Queen’s, majoring in piano and music education. She had her own music studio for several years prior to moving to Kingston. In addition to teaching private lessons, she has completed several short placements in public schools, ran music camps, taught /volunteered internationally, tutored fellow students and played in various high-level ensembles (both in high school and university). Though piano is her primary instrument, Stephanie has some experience playing various other wind and string instruments. She also has a background in many different genres including classical, jazz, popular, and gospel/religious. Her goal is to become an elementary school teacher with hopes of teaching internationally, and eventually wants to start her own permanent teaching studio. |
