Wayne Smith

Wayne offers his great expertise in the art of banjo and bluegrass performance, including over 20 years of private studio instruction.

He started playing music at an early age and found himself on stage playing Everly Brothers tunes. Later in high school he played in a 50s & 60s band “Sounds of Storms”.

In 1966 he heard a Flatt & Scruggs tune and since then has spent most of his time performing on a 5-string banjo. Over the years Wayne has been active in numerous groups and continues to play all year round in the Prince Edward County area.
