Yamaha Drums

Yamaha Drums

Yamaha has been handcrafting drums since 1967. Well known for their high quality and innovative designs, Yamaha was the first company to develop locking hi-hat clutch mechanisms, the ball-joint tom mounts for 360 degree rotation and the hideaway cymbal boom arm. Yamaha drums are hand-made for maximum durability and sound, and are available in one of four 100% wood shells.

We carry a vast selection of Yamaha drums, from their entry-level Rydeen kits to their Absolute series for the professional drummer. Not only do we feature the acoustic kits, but we also carry Yamaha electronic drums. We have all levels of electronic kits, from the small five piece beginner set, to the professional level kit featuring over 2,000 drum voices, full size pads and sampling ability.

Premier Drums

Premier Drums

What began as a small drum company selling their drums for wholesale in England, soon became one of the best known drum manufacturers. As the jazz age was booming, Premier became popular for their portable drum kits with a single headed bass drum that allowed the rest of the drums to be packed inside. Their orchestral, symphonic and marching drums were also in high demand. After World War II, Premier quickly became the standard for the fifties and sixties, providing the new sound for the British rock era, and exporting their drums worldwide. Consistently setting the bar for the competition, Premier was the first to introduce a pure birch or maple mid-level kit, and offers fully customizable hand-crafted, high-end sets.

All levels of Premier kits are available in-store or for order.

For more information see the Premier Website.

PDP Drums (DrumWorkshop)

PDP drums

As a new drum manufacturer, PDP has quickly established itself as an industry standard in quality, and produce a wide range of models, each accompanied with the necessary hardware. Many well-known artists have already invested in this up-and-coming company, especially due to PDP's affiliation with DW.

Here at Renaissance Music, we carry all lines of PDP from the EZ beginner drums to the LXE Professional series.

For more information see the PDP Website.

DrumWorkshop

DW drums After more than thirty years of innovation and tireless dedication to improving the way drum products are made, DW drums, pedals and hardware are the standard by which all others are measured. It all began in 1972 when Don, at age 26, opened a small teaching studio in Santa Monica, California. Her called the studio Drum Workshop, offering both private lessons and monthly workshops. Today, the quality and beauty of these drums is unsurpassed.

Astro/Orbitone

Orbitone drums

Orbitone and Astro drums are specifically for the aspiring drummer. Distributed by Taye, these drums provide quality at a fraction of the price of other companies. Orbitone E-Series and S-Series kits come ready with full size drums, hardware and cymbals for a drum set that will work right out of the box.
Astro and Orbitone drum sets are available for order.

For more information on the Astro Kits, visit the Astro Website. More information on the Orbitone kits is available at the Orbitone Website.

dDrums

dDrums From the company that started such greats as Dave Weckl on electronic drum triggers, dDrum has now moved to the acoustic side of percussion. With some of the most innovative designs on the market today, dDrum offers a wide range of configurations, colours and wood types for amateurs and professional drummers alike.

Basix

Basix Drums

Basix Drums are manufactured in China, and developed after a Western band touring the country requested a drum kit and not a single one was found. Founder Yan Bin collaborated with Westheimer Corporation and German company GEWA to make superior drums available to beginner drummers. Birch shells, Remo heads and heavy hardware make this company a fantastic option.

We keep mid-range Basix kits in stock regularly. Other models are available for order.

For more information see the Basix Website.

Taye

Taye drums The Taye Manufacturing Company, a family owned business, was established in 1975 to make drums and hardware for other musical instrument manufacturers. By 1999, they felt strongly that it was time to develop their own line of drums. The Taye drums philosophy is that good drums need not cost a fortune and should be widely accessible.

Roland

Roland drums

Roland has long been a household name in the music industry. Their electronic drums give every drummer the opportunity to play, with basic five-piece and six-piece sets featuring mesh heads and full size cymbals. Every electronic kit features a range of different voicings and sounds, allowing for a variety of styles - from the authentic acoustic sound, to different electronica effects.

The kit comes with a central processing unit (referred to as the "brain"), rack and sensors.

All models are available for order. For more information see the Roland Website.

Westbury

For years, Westbury has been a leading name in entry-level drums. Providing a viable alternative for the beginner drummer, Westbury has a range of quality kits for every drummer. Westbury kits are kept in-stock at Renaissance.
